Developing Suku Mentawai curriculum

There’s a new article posted up on the Suku Mentawai websites (both English and Indonesian versions) talking about their fieldwork gathering research for the inidgenous education program’s curriculum. Interesting stuff.

Here is a video previewing some the research activities they’ve been conducting together with the indigenous Mentawai community, and in particular their shaman (Sikerei) and tribal elders.

The article also explains processes and next steps, and includes a series of photographic documentation captured as part of their research. Follow this link for the full story – www.sukumentawai.org/en/2015/07/developing-programs-curriculum

Thanks to those who’ve given support and helped make this work possible. Greatly appreciated.
